We begin every meeting with a toast to Flora. Flora lived in what is now Shirley's house until 2005 when she passed away. She left behind a truck load of 'artifacts' from clothes to legal paper work, love letters, journals, pictures and yes, even hats... Although she never married she seemed to live a full life.
Shirley has now dedicated portions (almost all) of her home to Flora's memory. Since we have all of Flora's glamorous photos we can only assume that she loved champagne as much as we do, which is why we toast with champagne at our meetings.
Some say Flora is still in the house today... having loved it so much... only time will tell if she makes herself known.
